Baseball Recap: Shepherd Hill Regional Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Shepherd Hill Regional lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Nashoba Regional, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wolves a 9-0 shutout on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the Rams' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Shepherd Hill Regional has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Nashoba Regional, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Nashoba Regional will square off against Wachusett Regional at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Shepherd Hill Regional will be paying especially close attention to the Wolves' contest: after the Wolves face off against the Mountaineers, they'll take on Shepherd Hill Regional again at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
