Basketball Recap: McLouth Comes Up Short

McLouth lost against Horton back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McLouth Bulldogs were outmatched by the Horton Chargers and fell 55-25. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

McLouth's loss dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Horton, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McLouth won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Valley Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McLouth is facing Valley Falls at the right time seeing as Valley Falls is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Horton, they will take on Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy sitting on seven straight victories and Horton on four.
