Volleyball Recap: Weeping Water Falls Despite Big Games from Jaelis Brito- Diaz and Ella Huskey

Weeping Water lost against Palmyra back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians lost 3-0 to the Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered since September 9th.

Weeping Water was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.

Ella Huskey and Jaelis Brito- Diaz certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Huskey had 13 digs and 13 assists, while Brito- Diaz had 13 digs and one assist. Huskey has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Weeping Water's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Palmyra, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.

Coming up, Weeping Water is taking a road trip to square off against Mead at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmyra has already played their next match (against Johnson-Brock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
