Baseball Recap: Alexandria-Monroe Find Success

Alexandria-Monroe barely beat Tipton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let the Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Tigers have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Grayson Gaines looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Alexandria-Monroe let Mason Fuller and Owen May run wild. Fuller got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while May got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs May has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adrian Smith, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

Alexandria-Monroe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tipton only posted an OBP of .263.

Alexandria-Monroe's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Tipton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Coincidentally, Alexandria-Monroe and Tipton will both be playing Madison-Grant the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Argylls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Blue Devils will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
