Sound Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Life Christian Academy Eagles on Wednesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-19, 22-25, 25-8.

Despite the defeat, Sound Christian had strong showings from Annika Weedon, who had five kills, five blocks, and two aces, and Kaarin Weedon, who had three aces. That's the most blocks Annika has posted since back in October of 2023.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Sound Christian and Evergreen Lutheran will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Life Christian Academy, they will square off against Annie Wright at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
