After flying high against Exeter last Saturday, Golden Valley came back down to earth. The Golden Valley Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Patriots on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Patriots are ranked 89th).

Golden Valley dropped their record down to 2-4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Liberty, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
