Football Recap: Jack Parsons Leads Spanish Fork's Defense on Friday

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Spanish Fork ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles with a 20-14 victory. For the Dons, this counts as revenge for the 35-27 win the Golden Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Spanish Fork didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jack Parsons, Gage Christensen, Matai Johnson, and Mason Snow picked up one apiece. With that strong performance, Snow is now averaging an impressive 5.1 total tackles per game.

Although Maple Mountain took the loss, they still got scores from Kyren Jones and Uhila Wolfgramm.

Spanish Fork's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Maple Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
