Basketball Recap: McEachern Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McEachern can now relate to. They fell just short of the Norcross Blue Devils by a score of 63-60 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Blue Devils are ranked 31st).

McEachern's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5. As for Norcross, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-8.

McEachern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Norcross, they will venture away from home to square off against Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wheeler knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 matchups -- so hopefully Norcross likes a good challenge.
