Softball Recap: Arizona College Prep Wins Going Away Against Mountain Pointe

On Monday, everything went the Arizona College Prep Knights's way against the Mountain Pointe Pride as the Arizona College Prep Knights made off with a 14-4 win. Considering the Knights have won three matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Arizona College Prep got a massive performance out of Daphne Rogers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Rogers has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Azaria Knight, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Rogers wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Arizona College Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. Arizona College Prep is a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Arizona College Prep now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mountain Pointe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3-1 record this season.

Arizona College Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mountain Pointe: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
