Game recap: Cherokee High School Football Team wins against Sequoyah

CANTON, Ga. - Cherokee (Canton, Ga.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as Spencer Ashley ran for a touchdown with with 9:00 remaining in the third quarter, bringing the team to victory over Sequoyah (Canton, Ga.) 34-14.

The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at 14. The Warriors took the lead indefinitely on a touchdown run by Ashley in the third quarter.

The loss comes after Sequoyah defeated River Ridge 56-7 last week.

Sequoyah (1-1) goes up against Riverwood in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Cherokee (2-0) locks horns with North Forsyth also in a non-conference game.
