Football Recap: Malcolm Piles Up the Points Against Conestoga

Malcolm never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 53-0 win over the Conestoga Cougars. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Clippers had established a 41-point advantage.

Gavin Little looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 178 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Brixon Meyer, who rushed for 78 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Malcolm proved: they limited Conestoga to a paltry -2.3 yards per carry. While 11 picked up at least one total tackle, Little stood above the rest. He threw for 178 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes. Malcolm's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.6.

Malcolm's defense didn't let Noah Eagen, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Gerrit Dewaard was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Malcolm now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Conestoga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Malcolm has already played their next matchup (against Bishop Neumann), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Conestoga, they will host Lincoln Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
