Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Ridge Comes Up Short

Riverdale Ridge managed to slip by Prairie View the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Ravens lost 3-0 to the Thunderhawks on Thursday. The Ravens just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

While Riverdale Ridge ultimately came up short, they really made Prairie View work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 26-24.

Riverdale Ridge's offense was headlined by Sienna Osborne and Tessa Nap, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Veronica Lear and her 22 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Riverdale Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Prairie View, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Riverdale Ridge and Prairie View could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Ravens (ranked 270th) will meet Horizon (ranked 44th) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Prairie View will take on Loveland at 3:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (91 vs. 9).
