Basketball Recap: Donna North Comes Up Short

Donna North saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were beaten by the Mission Eagles 64-30.

Leading Mission to victory were Leon Villarreal and Jason Aleman. Villarreal almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, while Aleman almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Villarreal a new career-high in assists (eight). Jared Castro was another key player, going 7 of 12 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Donna North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mission, they moved to 7-7 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Economedes the next time they take the court. Mission will head out to face Economedes at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Donna North will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
