Baseball Recap: Millville Thunderbolts vs. Egg Harbor Township Eagles
Millville easily dispatched Bridgeton on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Thunderbolts fell just short of the Egg Harbor Township Eagles by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Millville got a good showing from Karson Reed, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Cole Mulharan and Pat Tull stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mulharan went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Tull went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that Tull has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Heacox, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
