Volleyball Recap: Elkins Tigers vs. East Fairmont Bees
Elkins can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the East Fairmont Bees. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in September.
Elkins took East Fairmont into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-13, 25-16, 16-25, 15-13.
Elkins found their leader in sophomore Samantha White, who had 11 digs and 18 assists.
Elkins was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2023.
Elkins' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15. As for East Fairmont, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-31-1.
As of now, neither Elkins nor East Fairmont have any future games scheduled.
