Pope extended the longest winning streak in AAAAA Region 7B this week by beating Osborne, 21-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Kell made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 913 from 1,335. The improvement was the result of 35-7 victory over Riverwood last week.
The Longhorns' Matthew McGuigan and Brendan Langley have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McGuigan has thrown for 423 yards this season, while Langley, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 14 catches for 288 yards. Sprayberry's Torrey Richardson leads the league in rushing yards with 373.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Yellowjackets take on the Raiders. As it stands, Sprayberry is in fourth, while Riverwood is in first.
