After flying high against Oasis last Friday, Gateway came back down to earth. The Gateway Eagles fell just short of the Cape Coral Seahawks by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Otniel Diaz was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.
