Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Leonardo Deangelo and Preston Randolph Lead Parkersburg Catholic to Victory

After losing to Cameron the last time they met, Parkersburg Catholic decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders came out on top against the Cameron Dragons by a score of 53-41 on Friday. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Dragons are ranked 766th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Parkersburg Catholic to victory were Preston Randolph and Leonardo DeAngelo. Randolph dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while DeAngelo went 6 for 14 to rack up 17 points. The dominant performance gave Randolph a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Walker, who posted eight points.

Parkersburg Catholic's record now sits at 5-12. As for Cameron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Parkersburg Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-67 defeat against Magnolia on the 8th. As for Cameron, they will head out on the road to face off against Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
