Recap: Quaboag Regional Cougars vs. Uxbridge Spartans
The Quaboag Regional Cougars lost against the Uxbridge Spartans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Quaboag Regional fell 49-41 to Uxbridge. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Quaboag Regional in their matchups with Uxbridge: they've now lost six in a row.
Uxbridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Mccusker out in front who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Aidan Blood, who scored ten points.
Quaboag Regional's defeat was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-1. As for Uxbridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Quaboag Regional won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Ayer Shirley at 6:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Ayer Shirley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Uxbridge will finish 2023 at home by hosting Academy of Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Academy of Notre Dame will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Uxbridge is ranked 33rd).
