Basketball Recap: Hartly Andrews Key Part of a Team Effort in Kavaliers Win

There's no place like home for Kenston Forest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-31 victory over the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights on Monday. The Kavaliers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Kenston Forest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hartly Andrews, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Andrews a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Katelyn Hite, who posted seven points and 14 rebounds.

Despite the defeat, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Dowdy earned 18 points and five rebounds.

Kenston Forest's record now sits at 2-3. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenston Forest will welcome Fuqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
