Softball Game Preview: Sotomayor Wolves vs. Maywood CES Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Sotomayor will face off against Maywood CES. The Wolves will take on the Wolfpack at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Sotomayor knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Maywood CES likes a good challenge.

Sotomayor took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over Maywood CES. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won three matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Maywood CES' part, Emily Marin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Marin is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Camila Dominguez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Maywood CES dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sotomayor, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
