Baseball Recap: Hiwassee Dam Comes Up Short

Hiwassee Dam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Robbinsville Black Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

ELIJAH COLE made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Hiwassee Dam's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Robbinsville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

While Hiwassee Dam had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
