Football Recap: Vista Del Lago Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Vista del Lago, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 44-37 victory over the Bella Vista Broncos on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jacoby More threw for 370 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Kyle Cromwell was his top target, picking up 170 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. On the ground, Jack Cromwell rushed for 63 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Despite the loss, Bella Vista still got an impressive performance from Dvaughn Norwood, who rushed for 264 yards and three touchdowns. Norwood's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 164 rushing yards. Jack Singley was another key player, throwing for 151 yards and a pair of TDs.

The win snapped Vista del Lago's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-7 record. As for Bella Vista, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Vista del Lago will challenge Elk Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bella Vista, they will welcome Del Campo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.78 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
