Basketball Recap: Wahama Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Wahama waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They secured a 39-34 W over the Buffalo Bison. The victory was all the more spectacular given the White Falcons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Bison are ranked 44th).

Despite the defeat, Buffalo saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brooke Woods dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Woods is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Camryn Samples, who posted six points and five boards.

Wahama's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. As for Buffalo, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Wahama has already played their next contest (against Tolsia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Buffalo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-19 victory against Poca on the 30th.
