Basketball Recap: Brighton Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Brighton waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against Mount Olive Christian by a score of 37-29. This was payback for the Bengals, who suffered a 40-24 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brighton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jesslyn Breaux led the charge by dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Breaux also grabbed five steals, which is notable because the Bengals are 4-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 1-4 otherwise. Sophie Caruso was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
