Softball Recap: Jennings Bulldogs vs. East Beauregard Trojans
On Friday, the Jennings Bulldogs beat the East Beauregard Trojans 9-5.
Emma Venable and Karmen Bradley did most of the damage at the plate: Venable went 1-for-4 with a home run and four RBI, while Bradley scored a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kylie Price, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Jennings has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for East Beauregard, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.
Jennings will stay at home for another game and welcome South Beauregard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Beauregard knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Jennings likes a good challenge. As for East Beauregard, they will head out on the road to square off against Basile at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
