Whitehall and Fort Ann are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Railroaders will host the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitehall has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Whitehall's last matchup with Salem could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Railroaders lost 13-1 to the Generals. The Railroaders' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Meanwhile, Fort Ann didn't have quite enough to beat Hartford Central on Sunday and fell 9-8. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by just one run.

Fort Ann saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Ladd, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another was Chase Tolene, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Fort Ann has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Whitehall, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Whitehall couldn't quite get it done against Fort Ann when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Railroaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
