Pacific Grove has gone 7-2 against Greenfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. On Friday, Pacific Grove didn't have quite enough to beat Stevenson and fell 6-5. The loss continues a trend for the Breakers in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.
Nathaniel Wade was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Greenfield's offense. They lost 10-0 to Alisal on Friday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bruins, who until this game were averaging 3.61 runs allowed.
Pacific Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Greenfield, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.
