Given Quality Education Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 43rd in North Carolina, while Miller School of Albemarle is ranked 234th in Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Miller School of Albemarle saw an underclassman step up: Ella Jackson scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Ott, who scored six points.
