It's playoff time, and Northview had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Laurel Hill Hoboes a 15-0 shutout on Monday. The Chiefs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Braynt Mason, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Northview is undefeated when Mason posts three or more RBI, but 8-11 otherwise. Kelan Jury was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Northview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Northview, bringing their record up to 11-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Laurel Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Looking ahead, Northview will challenge Jay at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. Laurel Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
