Baseball Recap: Lincoln Southeast Has No Trouble Against Lincoln High

Lincoln Southeast won the last time they faced Lincoln High and things went their way on Monday too. The Knights blew past the Links 9-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Lincoln Southeast's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Kirk, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI. Kirk has become a key player for the Knights: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-15 otherwise. Taven Baker also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lincoln Southeast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln High only posted an OBP of .217.

Lincoln Southeast's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Lincoln High, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

As of now, neither Lincoln Southeast nor the Links have any future games scheduled.
