Recap: Austin Royals HomeSchool Royals vs. Gloria Deo Academy Lions
The Austin Royals HomeSchool Royals''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Gloria Deo Academy 33-28.
Despite the loss, Austin Royals HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Benjamin Frazier, who rushed for 229 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Frazier was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards.
Nolan Chandler got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 194 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Chandler hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games. Evan Spondike also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.
Austin Royals HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Gloria Deo Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Austin Royals HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gloria Deo Academy will head out on the road to face off against BVCHEA HomeSchool at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. BVCHEA HomeSchool is on a four-game streak of home wins, Gloria Deo Academy a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
