Volleyball Recap: Deshler Comes Up Short

Deshler lost against Kenesaw back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dragons fell 2-0 to the Blue Devils.

Deshler was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23.

Jessie Kayser paced Deshler's offense, picking up ten kills. Kayser got some help from Molley Drohman and her 12 assists. Kayser also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaleesha Mcbride, racking up three apiece.

Deshler's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Kenesaw, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Deshler has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Giltner on the 19th. As for Kenesaw, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Franklin on the 18th.
