Baseball Recap: South Summit Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Summit can now relate to. They came up short against the Morgan Trojans on Thursday, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-2 defeat back in April.

South Summit saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Mair, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

South Summit dropped their record down to 7-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Morgan, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

While South Summit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
