Basketball Recap: Bruce Trojans vs. Okolona Chieftains
Bruce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 66-55 to the Okolona Chieftains. The match was a 27-27 toss-up at halftime, but the Trojans couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the defeat, Bruce saw an underclassman step up: freshman Markeevis Gladney almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave Gladney a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jermaine Jackson, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points.
Bruce's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Okolona, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
