It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jefferson had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Rockford East E-Rabs. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the J-Hawks as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak.
Jefferson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rodney Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Rodriguez has posted since back in March. Tristan Andrews was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 4-23. As for Rockford East, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
As of now, neither Jefferson nor the E-Rabs have any future games scheduled.
