Lake-Lehman and Holy Redeemer are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Royals at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake-Lehman is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Lake-Lehman barely beat Berwick the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 8-2 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Holy Redeemer entered their contest against Wyoming Area on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Royals fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Royals have suffered since April 29, 2024.

Anne Carter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Katie Genovese and Mary Lombardi did some serious damage despite the final result: Genovese went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Lombardi went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Isabella Boylan also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lake-Lehman's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Redeemer, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
