Basketball Recap: Iroquois/Lake Preston Comes Up Short

Iroquois/Lake Preston fought the good fight in their overtime match against Sunshine Bible Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders 71-67. Iroquois/Lake Preston's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Trey Thieman was a one-man wrecking crew for Sunshine Bible Academy as he posted 18 points along with six boards and five assists. Thieman also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Sunshine Bible Academy is 2-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 6-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Isaac Hague, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points.

Iroquois/Lake Preston's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Sunshine Bible Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-12.

As of now, neither Iroquois/Lake Preston nor Sunshine Bible Academy have any future games scheduled.
