Volleyball Recap: West Jones Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Jones can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Gautier Gators on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-17.

Leading Gautier to victory were Sarai Martinez Hernandez and Gynializ Fernandez. Martinez Hernandez had eight digs and two aces, while Fernandez had five assists and four digs. Those aces were Martinez Hernandez's first of the season.

West Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Gautier, they pushed their record up to 12-15 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

West Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gautier, they will venture away from home to take on Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
