Volleyball Game Preview: Johnston Panthers vs. Mt. Hope Huskies

The Johnston Panthers will challenge the Mt. Hope Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnston will be strutting in after a victory while Mt. Hope will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Johnston earned a 3-1 win over Central. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Johnston had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Mt. Hope had to take the L. They fell just short of Westerly by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The loss put an end to the Huskies' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mt. Hope fell to 2-1. As for Johnston, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Johnston beat Mt. Hope 3-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
