Basketball Recap: Malden Comes Up Short

Malden lost against Lynn English on January 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Malden Golden Tornados took a blow against the Lynn English Bulldogs, falling 76-47. While losing is never fun, the Golden Tornados can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 133rd).

Malden's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Lynn English, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Malden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 75-40 defeat against Everett on the 30th. Lynn English has also already played their next contest (against Newton South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
