After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gallatin County, Carroll County was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Columbus Christian Crusaders 73-34. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Cooper Gutman was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Carroll County's points. Another player making a difference was Karson Vaught, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points in addition to eight steals and five boards.

Carroll County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 30 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Carroll County's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Columbus Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Carroll County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-42 defeat against Eminence on the 12th. As for Columbus Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-50 loss against Shawe Memorial on the 11th.
