Softball Recap: East Duplin Comes Up Short

East Duplin fell victim to Richlands and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Richlands Wildcats by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

East Duplin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Richlands, their record is now 4-2.

Coming up, East Duplin will venture away from home to face off against West Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Carteret will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something East Duplin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Richlands, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Richlands Wildcats duke it out with Jacksonville Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
