Baseball Recap: Needville Victorious

While Needville's victory against Columbia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bluejays' pitchers stepped up to hand the Roughnecks a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Roughnecks: they've now won seven in a row.

Needville's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Columbia, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-11-2.

Coincidentally, Needville and Columbia will both be playing Brazosport the next time they take the field. The Bluejays will host the Exporters at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Roughnecks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
