Basketball Recap: Nuview Bridge Comes Up Short

Nuview Bridge extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 18 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-17. They lost 51-25 to the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-32 two weeks ago.

As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 26 points or more this season.

San Jacinto Valley Academy had a senior duo take command as Day Edwards posted 12 points and Nahamani Hamala scored 11 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Nuview Bridge won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on California Military Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves will be up against the Rough Riders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.89 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
