            The Maplewood Rockets will head out to  square off against the Bloomfield Cardinals  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Maplewood will come into the  matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Maplewood's pitching crew heads into the  contest  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Windham as they made off with  a  17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won seven games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Emily Perline looked comfortable as she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances.

 At the plate, Maplewood got a  massive  performance out of  Katie Wear, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and five  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  Wear a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Raegan Krieg, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Meanwhile, Bloomfield fell victim to Mathews and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They came up short against  the Mustangs, falling  19-0. The Cardinals have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
 Maplewood's win was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 10-0. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Bloomfield, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Maplewood took their  win against Bloomfield  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  14-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
