Baseball Game Preview: Pioneer Valley Panthers vs. San Luis Obispo Tigers

For the second straight game, Pioneer Valley will face off against San Luis Obispo. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Pioneer Valley managed to slip by San Luis Obispo the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 8-2 to the Tigers on Tuesday.

For San Luis Obispo's part, Joe Isaman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Parker Wyatt, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since April 3rd. Greyson Bramble was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

San Luis Obispo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

San Luis Obispo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pioneer Valley, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.
