            Softball Recap: Eagan Wildcats vs. Academy of Holy Angels Stars        
        
		
        
        
            Eagan couldn't beat Academy of Holy Angels  on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Wildcats fell just short of the Stars by a score of  6-5.
 Jocelyn McClary was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). That one hit allowed gave  her a new career-low. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  triple.
 In other batting news,  Greta Bergh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That  double marked the first that  she has  hit this season.
Eagan's loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Academy of Holy Angels, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record  this season.
 Eagan will challenge Minneapolis Southwest at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Lakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.07  runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. Academy of Holy Angels does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
