It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tahoka had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Sudan Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since March 1st.

Tahoka is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Sudan, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-12-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tahoka beat the Hornets by a score of 9-8 on Friday.
