The home team had won the previous four meetings between Grossmont and Granite Hills, and Grossmont kept the tradition alive. The Foothillers skirted past the Eagles 7-6. That's two games straight that the Foothillers have won by just one run.

Alexis Holman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jaidyn Jacques, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Grossmont hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 8-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Grossmont is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Granite Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.

As of now, neither Grossmont nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
